Does Tea Tree Oil Work to Eliminate Acne? - June 9th, 2011

Tea Tree Oil is one of nature’s most effective antiseptics. Used for centuries in wound care, cleaning, and healing skin conditions, tea tree implemented into your routine could clear up acne on your skin.

What Causes Acne?

Acne is caused by pores clogged with sebum oil and dirt. When a pore is clogged and cannot properly debride itself, bacteria forms, creating a pimple.

How Does Tea Tree Work?

Tea tree works as an antibacterial remedy that kills bacteria deep within pores, eliminating infection and healing the skin. Clean skin is healthy skin, and tea tree is a natural antiseptic that can maintain skin’s health and glow.

Short Term vs. Long Term Remedy

Tea Tree Oil alone will not cure all ills. Acne does not begin at skin level, but goes much deeper, into our liver. Knowing this, we learn that tea tree can work for short term results at keeping skin clean and clear. But if you want to truly target the deep-rooted problems with acne, then cleansing the liver is where you should begin.

Great Liver Cleansers

There are many herbs that will naturally and safely cleanse the liver, but our favorite is dandelion root. Dandelion is safe in high amounts, which makes it ideal for daily consumption. Just look at where dandelion grows, on lawns, gutters, street corners. Dandelion grows anywhere that needs to be cleansed of toxins growing in the soil. It works the same for our bodies. It pulls out and eliminates harmful toxins that make our organs sluggish.

Matrix: How to Create the Perfect Remedy

Addressing the immediate problem of acne and working towards long-term effects are both important. We have found two amazing products that work on the differing issues of acne while nourishing the entire body. ProNexin is a fabulous product that helps get rid of acne fast. This is important for those times when you have breakouts and an important event the next day. ProNexin guarantees results within 72-hours, combining elements like tea tree oil with aloe vera, working to heal acne and kill bacteria. Our other recommendation is Acnepril, a product that addresses the issue of liver cleansing and nulling out future skin problems.

Enzyte Side Effects - March 11th, 2010

Enzyte is one of the most popular products I have seen, and I have seen more Enzyte reviews than reviews for most other products combined. They all talk about how popular Enzyte is, how millions have likely used it, and they all say about the same thing in so many words. When you read Enzyte reviews, for the most part you are reading exactly what you will read here in different wording of course. So the question is, what are the Enzyte reviews saying, and what are the dangers or potential side effects of Enzyte that you may have to worry about?

Enzyte is a popular brand basically because it has been seen on TV. So everybody know the name, it’s a household name much like Viagra. It has some good ingredients that can actually produce results such as caffeine for example, which increases natural blood flow and therefore improves natural erections. But it doesn’t actually end there. From there, it uses other natural aphrodisiacs like horny goat weed, which by the way is relatively safe.

But when you read the Enzyte reviews, there are still Enzyte side effects. The fact is that first of all, obviously enough caffeine is prone to cause certain side effects such as insomnia and jitteriness. But they also use a natural aphrodisiac known as yohimbine. Yohimbine has unfortunately been known to contribute to heart attacks and strokes, therefore making it largely inappropriate for use in really anything as far as we can see. It has been used as a prescription and over the counter. But there is a reason why it should be controlled. This being said, they don’t actually have enough of any ingredients to really produce results.

So obviously, I would recommend against the use of Enzyte just as many Enzyte reviews would. But the more important part is that realistically speaking, there are better products out there. For example Orexis has a winning blend of ingredients that can help you to achieve natural male enhancement results. And it has no serious side effects. With Orexis, you get far more than you would ever actually get with Enzyte.

Make-Up & Acne - September 25th, 2009

When will make-up catch up to our acne. So we watch television and movies about some awkward teenager and the makeup department has done an amazing job making them look completely acne covered. Perhaps they should have just given the part to some up and coming actor who is suffering from acne, but instead they pick a beautiful person and make them covered in acne with amazing make-up techniques. So when will make-up catch up to the bad side of acne? When will make up get to the point that it can cover up the ugly acne rather than just create it?

Wouldn’t it be nice if when the fancy creams fail we could cover up the acne as easy as Hollywood can create the acne? Lets make a movie about the un-awkward teen who gets acne and can easily cover it up. OK, so there wouldn’t really be a plot for that movie that would make it interesting enough, huh? Point is we need some serious acne cover-up, the regular stud just doesn’t do the job. It clumps and clogs and gets in the acne and can even make is worse rather than better. I bet that a make-up company could make a fortune if they invested in a proper acne make-up.

Pores - September 23rd, 2009

So there is a new store near that is in the outlets and it sells discounted books, DVDs and games. Being a movie freak, naturally I went in. I was excited to find a DVD copy of “Casino” to replace my very antiquated VHS copy. What does this have to do with pores? Well there was this close up shot of Robert Dinero’s face, with his nose huge. And I was only watching this on my computer screen, can’t imagine how big his nose would have been if I was watching in on the big screen. Anyway, I found my self jealous of Dinero. Seriously, I was jealous of a more than middle age man.

Why you ask, well you probably guessed it. Dinero was rocking some seriously clean, tight, and small pores. This means I was uber jealous. I try, I work hard on them, but the day I get pores like that I will be very happy. I guess if you are a super famous actor like he is you can afford to have multiple facial procedures that keep your pores very small and clean. Now, if only I can find something for the common lady to use (that is affordable on the common lady’s budjet) I’ll be happy.

Things That Look Like Acne - September 21st, 2009

What if it isn’t acne? That would certainly be an acne remedy, to find out what you thought was acne isn’t acne at all. I read an interesting article about a disease called Hidradenitis suppurativa on CNN.com. According to the author, this disease can be mistaken for acne because” Puss-filled lesions under the skin may be evident in early stages” and apparently a doctor might think these lesions are acne, when they are actually a sign of the disease.

According to the doctor who wrote this article, there are different degrees of severity of the disease. This makes me wonder how many people have had mild forms of this disease and never been treated or helped because people assumed they have acne. Simple treatment for a mild form of the disease is antibiotics, which are often used to treat acne, so the person may even get better from the disease when the “acne” is treated. This makes me wonder if there are other disease that are mimicking acne and subsequently aren’t being treated properly? It’s kind of scary to think that doctors don’t know enough to properly diagnosis. I understand doctors are human and they make mistakes, but, I would hope that they wouldn’t mistake a horribly painful disease for regular old acne!

Is Acne A Pre-Existing Condition? - September 18th, 2009

We all know that health care is a crazy crazy business right now. One of the main problems is the concept of preexisting conditions. Never in a million years would I have thought that acne could be considered a preexisting condition that would prevent someone from getting health care, but sadly, some to some companies it is!!! An article in the Washington Post about preexisting health conditions and health insurance stated that not only were people at risk for denial for serious preexisting conditions, but healthy people who had acne, or who wanted to become pregnant were also at risk or had been denied health insurance.

Isn’t that one of the most shocking things you have heard in this health care debate? Don’t these companies have more important things to do than refuse coverage to people just because they have acne. That would mean that just about every teenager in the world wouldn’t be covered by any of these companies. It’s craziness! What’s next, an ingrown toe nail? Or a hang nail? Or perhaps freckles? Seriously, this is just taking it too far. I happen to believe that everyone deserves health insurance, but I do understand that an insurance company might be reluctant to take on too many patients who have serious medical issues because they would go out of business and not be able to give anyone coverage anymore. But to deny for stupid reasons makes it even worse….

Sweat & Acne - September 14th, 2009

It would seem that sweating would help acne. It would seem intuitive that the sweat would clean out the pores, and that it would help clear up the acne. However, sweat can actually contribute to an acne problem. Since we can’t wear antiperspirant on our faces, what can we do to help this? One thing is to constantly wash your face when you are sweating. Additionally, I think a nice cream that keeps your skin dry can minimize the effects of the sweating.

One thing people forget is that they don’t’ just sweat and need this help on their face, but their neck as well. I think I mentioned before that when I was growing up there was a commercial for ring around the collar, you don’t see that anymore (the commercial that is) but the point is there, wash your neck and your face! In addition, I was reading on “yahoo answers” and more than one person suggested drinking lots of water to combat acne caused by sweat. I had never heard that before, but it seems a popular opinion and certainly isn’t something that can hurt. Drinking water can help your health in many ways, not just in treating acne.

Forehead acne - September 14th, 2009

Hair, it seems so innocent. But the fact is, that when it comes to acne, it can be a disaster! Have you ever seen someone and thought they had bangs just to cover up the acne on their forehead? But it is possible that the reverse is true. Bangs hanging on one’s forehead can actually create an acne problem. The oil from the hair or any hair products encourages the acne, then in an effort to cover up the acne, the bangs become more pronounced. In reality, the proper treatment may be just to keep the bangs off the forehead and grow them out.

As a teenager, this was how I remedied a serious forehead acne problem I had developed. I had not even noticed the problem was a result of my bangs until a friend criticized the way I wore my bangs, so I grew them out and the forehead acne disappeared almost completely. I thought of this because I recently saw a picture of myself during this time and was shocked at how bad the acne was during that time. I’ve always had acne, but never so bad as when I had bangs. So, if anyone else has bad forehead acne, I recommend pulling back your bangs and seeing if that helps.

Tea Tree Oil For Acne - September 11th, 2009

So as the Earth is dieing, people are taking notice and there is a huge push for “natural remedies” to everything from medical issues to the best way to recycle natural resources.
I first heard about Tea Tree Oil about 10 years ago when a naturalist I saw recommended it as a natural way to clean and disinfect around the house. She said to water it down and then use it just like any other cleaner. It smells kind of strong to use around the whole house though. I just today saw that Tea Tree Oil can be used to treat acne! First, the warning, it is for topic use, not for ingesting!
So a gel with Tea Tree oil can be used (5% tea tree oil in the gel) as a natural way to treat acne. Very cool. The oil comes from a plant that is an Australian native. According to the site linked above, the oil “was used as a topical treatment by the Aboriginal people for centuries.” Ok, the site did not say that they if they specifically used it for acne or not, but they could have and this certainly could answer that question about what they did in ancient or even not so ancient times to treat acne. I have been really been wondering what they did prior to over the counter medial treatments for acne.

Home acne treatments - September 11th, 2009

So Web MD has an article on Home Treatments. This sounds like its right up my blogging ally! The first thing they say is to wash your face at least once a day. (Seriously? That’s the advice, I’m not an MD and I’ve said that a bunch of times.) Next they say that squeezing the acne can make it worse or cause an infection or a scar. The next bit of advice was new to me. They suggest water rather than oil based products.

Although this makes cognitive sense, I never really thought about things like lip gloss and how they contain oil and that this could potentially increase my acne. Good advice Web MD! Finally they recommend that you use some over the counter products. Ok, so they got a bit basic again at the end, but I am really glad that I read about the oil versus water idea. I wear make-up, often to cover up the acne. Perhaps it has oil in it and maybe I am just making my problems worse. The article also said that certain cleaners, lip sticks and cold creams can have oil in them.

This also goes back to frequent face washing. People touch their face all day long and people’s hands have natural oil on them. So, the oil is transferred to their face. I try not just to wash my face frequently, but my hands as well so that when I touch my face, they are cleaner and less likely to get my face oily, germy or anything else undesirable.
