So like many people, I like to apply my acne cream at night. The cream can sometimes appear on the skin and you look like you have chicken pocks or something, so nighttime application means that no one sees the cream application spots. However, I find that it can rub off on my pillow. Then I have applied cream, and sure no one saw it, but that doesn’t make a difference because it all rubbed off and it won’t do any good at all. So I took a whole new approach. I call it the Band-aid approach. If I have a really bad zit, I put the cream on it and then put a band-aid on top of it. This holds the cream on, so that it won’t rub off on the pillow. I find that the results are alarmingly quick! I find that I can use over the counter zit cream and remedy those zits quicker than using expensive cream with no band-aids.
Of course I have to be careful with this approach. One morning a few years back, there was something going in the parking lot of my apartment building. I went outside to check it out, forgetting that I had used the band-aid approach. My neighbors were all like “What happened to your head?” The other problem is that I have a sensitivity to some band-aid adhesives, especially on sensitive parts of my skin. I would never use this method on my sensitive checks, but it is great for the tougher skin on my forehead and chin!
