It would seem that sweating would help acne. It would seem intuitive that the sweat would clean out the pores, and that it would help clear up the acne. However, sweat can actually contribute to an acne problem. Since we can’t wear antiperspirant on our faces, what can we do to help this? One thing is to constantly wash your face when you are sweating. Additionally, I think a nice cream that keeps your skin dry can minimize the effects of the sweating.
One thing people forget is that they don’t’ just sweat and need this help on their face, but their neck as well. I think I mentioned before that when I was growing up there was a commercial for ring around the collar, you don’t see that anymore (the commercial that is) but the point is there, wash your neck and your face! In addition, I was reading on “yahoo answers” and more than one person suggested drinking lots of water to combat acne caused by sweat. I had never heard that before, but it seems a popular opinion and certainly isn’t something that can hurt. Drinking water can help your health in many ways, not just in treating acne.
